Send emails from your domain in Gmail

This guide shows you how to set up sending emails from an external email account in the Gmail web version.

Note: Starting in January 2026, Gmail will no longer support receiving emails from external email accounts in the Gmail web version. You can still use Gmail to send emails from your domain address, and any emails that were previously imported into Gmail will remain available.

To receive incoming emails in Gmail on the web, you must set up email forwarding from your email account to your Gmail address.

In the Gmail app on Android, iPhone, and iPad, you can still add your email account using IMAP to send and receive emails.

Step 1 - Log in to Gmail and go to Settings

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click the gear icon in the top right corner.
  3. Select See all settings from the drop-down menu.
