Add a PayPal button to your website

If you want to accept one-time donations or payments via your website without a webshop, you can do this with the PayPal integration. This guide will show you how to add a PayPal button to your Website Builder website using the PayPal widget.

This feature isn’t available in the Website Builder tiers Basic and Starter, or in the Website Builder hosting plan Mini. If you’re using one of these versions, you can upgrade your plan and display the widget on your published site.

Step 1 - Select the PayPal widget

  1. Access your Website Builder via the one.com Control Panel. In the dashboard, click the blue button that says Edit site to enter your Website Builder editor.
  2. Go to the section of your website where you want to add the PayPal widget.
  3. Select Widgets in the menu on the left.
  4. Under Business, select PayPal.

Step 2 - Customise the PayPal link

  1. Follow the link to PayPal's website to customise your PayPal button.
  2. Click Pay Links and Buttons.
  3. Fill out the required fields (you can open them by clicking the drop-down arrow next to the action points), and click Built it in the top-right corner when you're happy with your button.
  4. On the next page, choose the Payment link under the options and click the blue Copy link button to copy the PayPal link.

Step 3 - Add the button code

Note: You must be logged in to your PayPal account to get the code.

  1. Return to your Website Builder and paste the link into the PayPal pop-up window.
  2. Click OK to add it to your website.
  3. Click Save and Publish to see the button on your live website.

Edit the widget settings

Once you've inserted the widget, you can edit the following settings by selecting the component:

  • Settings: If you know which exact dimensions you want for the component, you can enter them here. You can also manually drag the borders of the component via the orange handles.
  • Change button: You can use this option to change the inserted button code without deleting the whole widget.

Note: If you make any additional changes via these settings after publishing the button, don't forget to save and publish the website again.
