Use HTTPS on your WordPress site

All domains with a hosting plan at one.com have SSL activated by default, so HTTP and HTTPS will both work. Installing the Really Simple Security plugin ensures that your website visitors always use the secured HTTPS. In this guide, we show you how to do this.

Tip: You don't need to upgrade to the Pro version of this plugin in order to use SSL. Find out more about the plugin on the official WordPress.org website.

Step 1 - Log into WordPress

Open WP Admin from the WordPress section in the one.com Control Panel, or directly through the WP Admin login page.

  1. Log into the one.com Control Panel.
  2. Click on the WordPress tile.
  3. Click the domain of the site that you want to manage.
  4. Click the WP Admin button.

Tip: You can also access your WP Admin through its own login page: simply add /wp-admin after the location of your website, for example: one-example.com/wp-admin.
