Be aware of phishing emails
Lately we have seen a number of very creative phishing emails, pretending to be sent from One.com. The emails are sent out to various recipients, that all have a subscription and a domain with One.com. Senders of these phishing emails have gotten access to recipients email addresses by looking domains up in the domain whois-tools, where information about domain owners are public.
One.com will never ask for your password!
One.com will never unsolicited send you an email, where we ask you to type in your username and password.
Important: Disregard emails where you are asked for your username and password.
What should I do with phishing emails?
If you receive an email asking you to enter your username and password, you should always contact us to verify the email or simply delete the mail.
What is a phishing email?
A phishing email is a fraud email that looks like if One.com sent it. It includes our logo, address and other standard elements. The phishing email often asks you to click on a link, which looks like it goes to www.one.com. However, instead it links to the phishing website, which also looks like the www.one.com website.
If you enter your username, password or other personal information on a phishing site, your information might be used by hackers, who set up the phishing site. Furthermore they will have access to your Control panel, FTP and email account with One.com.
