How do I enable PayPal in my Online Shop?

You can offer PayPal as a payment option in your Online Shop. This guide will show you how to enable it.

Step 1 - Enable PayPal in your Online Shop dashboard

Note: You need a PayPal business account to set up PayPal in your Online Shop. If you already have a private account, you can convert it to a business account. You can see how in PayPal's own guide.
  1. Go to your Online Shop dashboard via the one.com control panel.
  2. Go to Settings in the menu to the left and select Payment options.
  3. Slide the toggle for PayPal.

Step 2 - Connect your PayPal account

You can now connect an existing PayPal account or create a new one from scratch. Please choose the option below that suits your needs:

Connect an existing user

  1. Click Connect in the window that appears.
  2. The PayPal platform will open in a new window. Enter the email address and password of the PayPal user to which payments should be made. Once you enter the email address, you should automatically be redirected to the Online Shop admin. If not, simply click Return to one.com.

Create and connect a new user

  1. Click Connect in the window that appears.
  2. The PayPal platform will open in a new window. Enter the email address you want to use for your PayPal user.
  3. Follow the setup flow on the screen. You'll be asked to provide basic details about your company.
  4. Once you've finished the flow and created your account, click Return to one.com if you're not automatically redirected.
  5. Activate your PayPal account via the link you've received from them via email. You can also activate your account through Paypal's website. 
Note: PayPal may ask you to provide additional information about your company after the initial setup. If this happens, you'll receive a separate email with a link that will lead you directly to the place where you can add this information.

Step 3 - That's it!

Paypal should now be active as a payment option in your Online Shop. The PayPal icon will appear during checkout.
