What is changing?
We have changed the structure of our hosting plans to a more simplified approach. Instead of offering many specialised feature plans, we now have a few simple all-in-one plans.
We have developed five plans with different storage and performance levels, ranging from "Beginner" for hobbyists that only need essential features, to our "Guru" plan, tailored for businesses that need a little (or a lot!) extra.
Why are you changing to new plans?
We conducted an extensive survey to determine what our customers think about one.com, our products, and what we can improve.
One of the things we've learned was that many of our customers struggled to understand our plans and that they didn't know which one to choose. Based on this outcome, we've looked into how we could make this more accessible, and the current plans are the result.
Why am I being migrated, and to what plan?
We're migrating customers from our older plans to the new ones to align everyone to the new and improved platform.
Your subscription will be migrated to the nearest matching plan with at least all the features you have now. That way, you won't lose anything. Of course, you can downgrade or change to another plan if you would want. If you would like to compare our plans, please check our article What's included in our plans?
When will my subscription(s) be migrated to the new plan?
Your subscription will be migrated 60 days before your renewal. At the same time, you'll receive the yearly renewal invoice with your new subscription and price.
Can I stay on my old plan?
It's unfortunately not possible to stay on your old plan after renewal. We aim to simplify things and make it more transparent what is included in your subscription. Leaving customers on older legacy plans would make things even more complicated.
Until your subscription is renewed, you stay on your current plan without changes. Most customers have already migrated to the current plans. Now is also the time to migrate those customers with legacy plans that we have extended a bit longer.
How do I choose a different plan?
We have chosen the plan closest to your current subscription. If you prefer a different plan, you can change the plan immediately in your one.com control panel:
- Click My account > My products.
- On the next page, click Manage to the far right of your domain.
- In the menu that appears, click Move to another plan to change the plan.

If you wish to change your plan, remember to do this before your subscription is renewed for the upcoming year. Your invoice will be automatically updated when the change is being done within 25 days from the invoice date.
Note: Depending on your plan, you can attach several domains to the same plan. For example, you can add a total of five domains to an Enthusiast plan. Please check our guide How do I attach a domain to a hosting plan? for more information.
How do I downgrade to Domain only?
If you don't need a website or an email account, you can already downgrade to our Domain only subscription. That way, you only pay for the domain's renewal and not an entire hosting plan.
If you downgrade to Domain only, you will lose your webspace, including all domain files. Websites and emails will be deleted immediately. Make sure to back up the data first if you wish to keep it.
- Click My account > My products.
- On the next page, click Manage to the far right of your domain.
- In the menu that appears, click Detach from this plan to downgrade to Domain only.
If you wish to change your plan, remember to do this before your subscription is renewed for the upcoming year. Your invoice will be automatically updated when the change is being done within 25 days from the invoice date.
Note: Before proceeding with the downgrade to Domain only, make sure to create backups of your files (including emails, databases and any other files you would like to keep).
Will the price of my subscription change?
The price of the new plans will be different from the previous plans. Price increases are made so that we can continue to improve our products and the quality of our service. Part of it is also due to increased operating costs caused by hardware shortages, higher energy costs and general inflation.
You can see your new price on your renewal invoice. On the one.com front page, you can see what the standard price is per month for all our primary plans.
