Using the Bookings calendar
With Bookings, you can manage all your appointments and availability directly in the calendar on your Bookings dashboard.
The calendar gives you a clear overview of your schedule, making it easy to see upcoming appointments, avoid double bookings, and plan your day efficiently. You can create, edit, or cancel appointments with just a few clicks, block out personal time, and even sync your schedule with your personal calendar — all in one place.

Accessing the calendar
- Open your Bookings dashboard. You can access it via the Bookings tab in the left-side menu of your Website Builder dashboard.
- Click Overview in the left-hand menu.
- You can now see the Calendar view per default. Switch between Calendar and To Do list by clicking the buttons in the top-right corner.
Calendar views and navigation
- Switch between Day view and Week view using the buttons at the top of the calendar.
- How to navigate: The calendar always shows the current day by default. You can navigate to the next or previous day/week using the arrows at the top.
- Switching months: Clicking on the current month at the top will open a dropdown with a calendar.
Creating an appointment
- Select a time slot - Click on the desired date and time in your calendar. You can click any hour tile, available or unavailable.
- Enter customer details - Fill in your customer’s information and appointment details in the window that pops up.
- Send confirmation email - By default, a confirmation email will be sent to your customer. If you don’t want to send an email, simply deactivate the toggle.
- Save the appointment - Click the Create button to save and add the appointment to your calendar.
If the selected time overlaps with another appointment, a warning will appear. You can still proceed and allow overlapping appointments if necessary.
Editing an appointment
- Select the appointment - Click on the appointment you want to edit in your calendar. A summary card will appear showing all details.
- Edit details - Click the Edit button in the summary card. You can then update the service, date, time, or customer details.
- Update notifications - If needed, adjust whether a confirmation email should be sent to your customer using the toggle.
- Save changes - Click Save to update the appointment in your calendar.
If the updated time overlaps with another appointment, a warning will appear. You can still proceed and allow overlapping appointments if necessary.
Cancelling an appointment
- Select the appointment - Click on the appointment you want to cancel in your calendar. A summary card will appear showing all appointment details.
- Cancel the appointment - Click the button Cancel appointment in the summary card. Note that you can only cancel upcoming appointments.
- Confirm the cancellation - A pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm the cancellation. You can optionally add a reason. Then click Cancel appointment to remove it from your calendar.
Blocking time
You can block time in your calendar for breaks, meetings, or other personal activities. When time is blocked, customers won’t be able to book you during that period. However, you can still manually create appointments in blocked slots if needed.
- Select the time - Click and drag over the hours you want to block. The same window will open that you can use for creating appointments.
- Choose Blocked time - Switch to the Blocked time tab in the window.
- Add a reason (optional) - Enter a title or note to indicate why this time is blocked (e.g., lunch break, internal meeting).
- Save the blocked time - Click the Create button to save the blocked time in your calendar.
Tips:
- Select multiple hours by dragging your mouse across the desired slots.
- Block time across multiple days by selecting a range over several days.
- To edit or delete blocked time, click on it and choose Edit or Delete.
Syncing with your personal calendar
You can sync your Bookings calendar with your Google Calendar to keep all your appointments up to date across platforms.
