Why do we remove One Photo from our services?
When we released One Photo in 2015, it was a valuable addition to our product portfolio. Since then, other storage solutions have become available with excellent gallery features and many integrations. That's why we think it's now time to retire the One Photo gallery and focus our energy on other products and features.
What will happen now?
Since we're removing One Photo, you must download your galleries so you don't lose your photos.
If you have One Photo Pro, you can manually delete your gallery before One Photo ends and request a refund for the remaining months of your subscription period.
When will One Photo be removed?
Depending on which One Photo plan you're using, you can see the end date of One Photo below:
- One Photo Basic: One Photo Basic is the free version included in your hosting plan. We will remove one Photo Basic on 15 August 2022. Your galleries on this plan will be deleted on this date.
- One Photo Pro: This is the Pro version of One Photo, and it will be removed at the end of your subscription period. You can see when your subscription is up for renewal in the one.com control panel under My account > My products.
Note: We will deactivate the One Photo apps already on 15 June 2022, meaning you'll need to access your One Photo gallery from your browser after this date.
How can I download my galleries?
We fully understand that your photos are essential, so we have added a feature that allows you to download the files in your gallery as a .zip file. Only users with Administrator rights can see the "Download all" button.
Tip: Of course, you can also still download your photos per collection. Click a collection in your gallery, click the three dots in the top-right corner and then select "Download all".
Follow the steps below to download all your files at once:
- Open the gallery in your browser, or access it via the one.com control panel > One Photo > Go to gallery.
- Log in to your gallery with an Administrator account by clicking the Log in button in the top-right corner.
- Click the Download all button in the top bar inside your One Photo gallery in a browser.
- Depending on the size of your gallery, you'll see a list of zip files of 2 GB. Click Download next to each .zip-file, one by one.
- Double-check on your device that the file was successfully downloaded.
Note: You need to download one .zip-file at a time. Downloading several at the same time will likely cause the download to fail.
Do you have a lot of files to download? Then our support can help you out by moving all files from your gallery to your web space. That way you can download all your files at once via SFTP, which will go a lot faster.
How can I delete my galleries?
If you've downloaded all your files, you can delete your gallery before we remove the product. If you have One Photo Pro, we'll credit the remaining period of your subscription.
If you're using One Photo Basic, it's unnecessary to delete your files before the end of your subscription period since we'll automatically delete them on 15 August 2022.
Follow the steps below to permanently delete your gallery:
- Click the One Photo tile in your one.com control panel.
- Click the button Delete gallery in the banner at the top of the page.
- In the pop-up window, confirm by clicking the button Delete now.
- That's it! Your galleries are now deleted.
Important: It's not possible to restore a backup of a gallery that is deleted. Please make sure you've downloaded all files you want to keep.
