Creating and managing products in your Aida AI Online Shop

Once you've created your Online Shop in the Aida AI Website Builder, you can easily add products to it. Just tell Aida that you want to add a new product and include details such as name, image, and price - Aida will handle the rest. You can include as many or as few details as you like, and ask Aida to add more or make changes later. If you prefer, you can also create products and add details manually.

Where do I find my products?

Your shop products are located under Online Shop (store icon) > Products.

You can display your products in a Grid or in a List view. The grid view shows your products as tiles and provides an easy overview of prices and stock status. The list view shows your products with more details at a glance, including their status (draft or published), category, product type (simple or variable) and current stock.

You can filter your products by stock status or category in the tabs above the products, or you can search for products via the search bar in the upper-right corner.

Create a product with Aida

Aida can easily help you create a product from scratch:

1. Go to the chat on the left in the Aida AI Website Builder editor.
2. Ask Aida to add a product to your shop. It will ask you for more information, so add any details you already have from the get-go. In general, add name, price and a photo if you have it. Aida will automatically add a pre-written description if you don't add a specific one.

You can add more information to a product later, and anything Aida adds can be edited.

Create products in bulk

Aida can also help you create several products at once. If you have a CSV file or similar with an existing product catalogue, you can just upload it to Aida.

You can also add a selection of images without any other details; Aida will then create products based on the images with suggested names, descriptions and prices.

Create a product manually

You can also quickly add a product from scratch without the help of Aida:

1. Click the Online Shop icon in the navigation panel on the left.
2. Click the yellow +Add product button in the top-right corner.
3. Select the product type (physical or digital product).
4. Add media (images).
5. If you're creating a digital product, you must add it under Downloadable files (the field will only be visible for digital products).
6. Add product information (name, status, description).
7. You can add variants. Variants are the different versions of a product in your inventory, created from combinations of options like size or colour. For example, a shirt could come in red/small, red/medium, or yellow/small. Add your options one at a time, and the possible combinations will automatically be generated in the shop. To add an option, click the arrow next to Variants and then + Add option. Add the option name (i.e. what it is, such as size or colour) and the available types (e.g. small, medium, large or red, yellow, green). Click Save when you're done and add more options if needed.
8. Add pricing and stock details.
9. Select which categories the product should belong to. Click the arrow next to Category and select from the list or create a new one.
10. Choose how related products should be displayed under the product; click the arrow and select an option.
11. Click the yellow Create button once you've added all your details.

Edit a product with Aida

When you create your site with the Aida AI Website Builder, Aida will normally set up a few sample products if you ask it to build a website for a business or shop. If you like these samples, you can build on them by asking Aida to add or change details, turning them into your own products.

1. Go to the chat on the left in the Aida AI Website Builder editor. You can also open the chat from other pages by clicking the 'Ask Aida for changes...' field at the top of the page.
2. Ask Aida for the edits you want. For example, ask it to change the price of a product or set a product on sale.
3. Once Aida has made the edits, it'll link to the product page where you can check the changes. Click the View products button to go there.

Edit a product manually

1. Click the Online Shop icon in the navigation panel and go to Products.
2. Click the three dots on the product you want to edit.
3. Select Edit.
4. Change, add or remove information.
5. Click Save.

Duplicate a product

You can duplicate a product with the help of Aida or do it yourself manually.

If you want to use Aida, simply tell it which product to duplicate and which name the new product should have. If the price or any other details should be different, you can also ask Aida to add that.

Duplicating a product manually

1. Click the Online Shop icon in the navigation panel on the left and go to Products.
2. Click the three-dot icon on the product you want to duplicate.
3. Select Duplicate.
4. You'll now see the information for the duplicated product. Add, remove or edit any details that should be different compared to the product it was duplicated from.
5. Click Create at the bottom of the page.
