Setting up email in the Samsung app on Android

This guide shows you how to set up your email account in the Samsung email app.

Step 1 - Open the email app

Open the Email app on your Android device.

Step 2 - Tap Other

Tap Other.

Note: If you already have another account set up, tap the hamburger menu (3 horizontal lines) on the left side of the Inbox. Click the gear icon in the top right and then click + Add account. You'll now see the screen as shown in the screenshot below.

Step 3 - Enter your email and password

  1. Enter the email account you want to set up.
  2. Enter your password, the same password you use for Webmail.
  3. Tap Sign in.

Step 4 - Choose IMAP account

Choose IMAP account.

Step 5 - Enter Incoming server settings

You'll now need to change the server settings to ours.

Incoming mail server:

  • Username: your email address
  • Password: the one you use for Webmail
  • IMAP server: imap.one.com
  • Security type: SSL
  • Port: 993
  • IMAP path prefix: enter INBOX as IMAP Path Prefix, all in capitals.

Step 6 - Enter Outgoing server settings

Scroll down to Outgoing server settings and correct those as well.

Outgoing mail server:

  • SMTP server: send.one.com
  • Security type: SSL
  • Port: 465
  • Require authentication to send emails: Yes (click the slider button to activate).
  • Username: your email address
  • Password: the one you use for Webmail

Step 7 - Click Sign in

Click Sign in when you have entered the settings.

Step 8 - Done!

That's it! Your account is now set up, and your emails and folders will also be synced.

Tip: If you want to change your name or signature, tap the menu in the top left corner and then the gear icon.
