If you need to update your contact details but can’t access the one.com Control Panel or your registered email, follow the steps below to regain access and make the necessary updates.
Use our Change Email form
We recommend updating your domain's contact details through the one.com Control Panel. If you can't access the Control Panel, we can help you change your contact email address so you can regain access.
Attach the signed form to a message for our support team, and they will assist you with the email update. Once you have access again, you can easily change all other contact details in the Control Panel.
- Open the Change Email form in your browser. We recommend you use Google Chrome.
- Fill out the form online.
- Specify where you want the email address change to apply:
- Subscription + Domain
- Subscription Only
- Domain Only
Note: Your subscription contact email address is very important. It serves as your username for logging into the Control Panel, and it is where you receive invoices, passwords, and other notifications.
If you want more information about this, please check our guide, which explains the difference between the subscription and domain owner. - Tick the box Remove 60-day transfer lock if you want to be able to transfer your domain to another domain provider (registrar) in the coming 60 days. The domain transfer lock only affects gTLD domains.
- Sign the form at the bottom line. Please be aware that we don't accept a typed signature.
- Make a digital scan or take a photo of the signed form.
- Attach the signed Email Change form and your identification to a message for our support team.
We aim to answer your request within 24 hours.
Why do I need to send my ID?
Many of our customers store personal information on their web space, such as emails, photos, and videos. It is our responsibility to keep these data safe.
To avoid unauthorised users accessing your data, we require identification when changing your contact details through a signed form.
You are welcome to write to our support if you have questions.
Note: We only need to see the date of birth, full name, signature and expiry date on your ID - for your safety, please conceal all other information. This can be done by blacking out text or covering some elements while taking the picture.
