How do I change my VPS password?

You can change your VPS administrator password at any time in the VPS dashboard.

When you order a new Cloud Server, you'll be asked to complete the setup by creating an administrator password.

You can also reset your VPS administrator password by redeploying your server in the VPS dashboard in oneHome. But keep in mind that redeploying a server permanently deletes all data and cannot be undone.

This guide explains how to change your VPS password and how to reset it by redeploying your server.

Change your password via the VPS dashboard

To change the administrator password, you must be logged in as an admin user. You can change the password in the VPS Dashboard in oneHome:

1. Go to your VPS page in the one.com Control Panel.
2. Click on the name of the VPS for which you want to change the password.
3. In oneHome, click Settings in the left-hand menu.
4. Click Cloud Server password.
5. Type your new password and click Save.

Change your password by redeploying the server

Important: If you change your password by redeploying your server, all its data will be deleted permanently. This action cannot be undone.

1. Go to your VPS page in the one.com Control Panel.
2. Click on the name of the VPS for which you want to change the password.
3. Scroll down to the Redeploy server section and click it.
4. Select an operating system and a version and click Next.
5. Scroll down until you see the Password field, then enter your new password.
6. Click Redeploy server.
7. Tick the confirmation box: I understand that my data will be deleted and that this action cannot be undone.
8. Click Confirm.
