Changing passwords on my VPS in Plesk

This guide will show you how to change the passwords for different services on your VPS in Plesk


Plesk user

To change the password for any user in Plesk, follow these steps:

  1. Find Users in the menu on the left, then click on the Contact name you want to update.

  2. Click Change Settings

  3. Scroll down until you see the section for changing the password. Then, enter your new password.

Email 

If you want to change the password for any email account in Plesk, follow these steps.

  1. Find Mail in the menu on the left, then click on the Email address you want to update.

  2. Change your password in the section to change the password and confirm your new password in the field below. Don't forget to save your actions by clicking Save.

FTP

If you want to change your FTP password in Plesk, follow these steps.

  1. Find Websites & Domains in the menu on the left, then click Connection Info.

  2. Under System user credentials, you can change your FTP password by clicking the pen icon. Then, enter your new password and confirm by clicking Save.

Database

If you want to change your Database password in Plesk, follow these steps.

  1. Find Websites & Domains in the menu on the left, then click Connection Info.

  2. Under Database, you can change your Database password by clicking the pen icon. Then, enter your new password and confirm by clicking Save.
