Password setting and Multi-factor authentification
We care about security therefore multi-factor authentification is mandatory to add an extra layer of protection. See the schema below, which shows the MFA flow:
You can choose between Microsoft Authenticator, another authentication app, or SMS verification during the setup.
You will receive an email containing a temporary password and a link to a Microsoft page to set up multi-factor authentication after creating the Exchange account in your one.com control panel.
This is the guide from Microsoft about MFA: Set up multifactor authentication for users - Microsoft 365 admin
How do I create an account?
We have made creating an account easy for you.
This guide shows you how to create a new Exchange email account in your one.com control panel step-by-step.
After you buy your Microsoft 365 plan with one.com
- You complete the purchase in the one.com shop and receive an order confirmation email with your receipt and plan details. No Microsoft credentials are included yet.
- Log in to your one.com Control Panel, open your Microsoft 365 subscription, then sign and accept the Microsoft Customer Agreement. This is a one-time step required before any activation.
- Once you accept, one.com automatically provisions your Microsoft environment in the background. You don't need to do anything during this step.
- You receive a second email from one.com with your access details: the link to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, your admin username, and a temporary password.
- Go admin.microsoft.com, sign in with those credentials, and set a new permanent password on first login. Your Microsoft 365 environment is now ready to use.
Accessing the apps and downloading: Go to office.com and log in to download apps.
How do I cancel an account?
This guide shows you step-by-step how to cancel an Exchange email account in your one.com control panel.
When an Exchange Online, Microsoft 365 Business Basic or Microsoft 365 Business Standard account is cancelled, the subscription will be terminated automatically at the end of the current period.
After the period ends, the account will be deleted, and the data will no longer be accessible.
Before the period expires, you must back up your email data and, eventually OneDrive. We recommend to backup your OneDrive several days in advance.
Note: The backup must be done manually in your Outlook:
Outlook for Mac.
Outlook for PC.
How do I delete an account?
This guide shows you step-by-step how to delete an Exchange email account in your one.com control panel.
The difference between cancelling and deleting an account is that when cancelling, the account will still be active until the subscription's expiration date. When deleted, the account will be terminated immediately.
After deleting the account, you will not be able to access your email account, calendar, contacts and Office files in OneDrive.
You're not reimbursed after deleting an account, and you can't use the remaining paid period to create a new account for free.
Important: Deleting the account is irreversible. If you have deleted an account by mistake, please contact our support, and we can check if there is any chance of recovery. You'll need to pay the subscription cost if it can be recovered.
How do I update MX records in one.com?
To connect your domain to Microsoft 365, you'll need to update your MX (Mail Exchange) records through your domain registrar or DNS provider. This step ensures that incoming emails are correctly routed to Microsoft's mail servers.
You will find everything you need in this guide.

Where can I reset my Microsoft password?
If you have forgotten your Exchange password, you'll need to contact the administrator of the one.com control panel. From the control panel, the admin can send you a temporary password to a secondary email address.
When you have gotten the email with the temporary password, you can log in to your Microsoft account and change it from there, as shown in the section
How to use Microsoft 365 while keeping Website Builder and Shop System Mail working
When launching new Microsoft 365 services on a domain managed through one.com it is important to update the domain’s MX records correctly so that Microsoft Exchange can handle company email, while existing system-generated emails from WSB and Shop continue to work without interruption.
Important Overview
Microsoft 365 uses Exchange Online for email delivery. To activate this, the domain’s MX records in one.com must be updated with the values provided by Microsoft.
At the same time, WSB and Shop system accounts may still send automated emails from Basic Mail, such as:
- Webshop notifications
- Order confirmations
- Password resets
- System alerts
- Contact form emails
These services can continue working as long as the correct delivery settings and DNS configuration are maintained.
First, collect the DNS records provided by Microsoft for your domain setup as described before.
Microsoft will provide:
- MX record
- SPF record
- Autodiscover settings
Open the DNS management panel for the domain in one.com.
Useful guides:
Update the MX Record to Microsoft Exchange
Replace the existing mail MX record with the Microsoft Exchange MX record supplied during Microsoft 365 setup.
To enable sending capabilities for Basic Mail accounts in your domain, such as info@yourdomain.com or shop@yourdomain.com, you need to add include:_custspf.one.com before -all in your Microsoft SPF record.
Use the following SPF record:
v=spf1 include:spf.protection.outlook.com include:_custspf.one.com -all
The Basic Mail will only send email. To receive emails, please create an alias with the name of the system email MS address, you will find how to here: Add another email alias for a user - Microsoft 365 admin
