Use your existing one.com domain with Aida AI Website Builder

This guide is for you if you already have a domain with one.com and want to build your website on that same domain using Aida AI Website Builder.

You can use this guide if:

• You haven't started building your Aida AI Website Builder site yet (no trial content created)
• You currently have a Domain only or Email Essential plan
• Your domain is on our new hosting platform

If all three apply, you can switch directly to an Aida AI Website Builder plan and keep your current domain - no downgrade, transfer, or reconnection needed.

Already started an Aida AI Website Builder trial? Connecting a trial site to an existing domain that's hosted with us isn't possible yet, but support for this is coming soon.

What to do if you're on a larger plan

We're working on letting all hosting plans connect domains to Aida AI Website Builder - a much-requested feature, especially for customers with an existing website. It's coming soon.

In the meantime, there's a workaround: downgrade to Domain only or Email Essential, then connect your domain to an Aida AI Website Builder plan. However, this is only suitable if you no longer need your current website and are willing to give up the remaining time on your current plan.

Before downgrading, please note that:

• Your current website and all its content will be deleted. This also means you cannot use the "modernise" feature to recreate it in the Aida AI Website Builder.
• You won't get a refund or credit for remaining months.
• Upgrading to Aida AI Website Builder means paying full price for the new plan.
• Aida AI Website Builder plans don't match the features of your current plan.

If you already have a website, we recommend waiting until direct connection is available. See our guide on changing your subscription, or contact our support team if you are unsure whether the workaround is suitable for you.

Not sure if you're on the new hosting platform?

You can easily check this by going to Domain in the menu on the left in your Control Panel. If you have an item called Subdomains, you're on the new hosting platform.

Step 1 - Go to your Control Panel

1. Log into the Control Panel of the domain that you want to get an Aida AI Website Builder plan for.
2. If you are eligible for the plan, you should see a banner promoting it. Click Start 30 days free to get started.

Step 2 - Start your free period

To start your 30-day free period, choose one of the available plans. During the free period, you can use all plans and features and switch plans at any time at no additional cost.

1. Check which plan is currently selected. Click Switch your plan to try out another plan.
2. Click Try for free to start your trial with the selected plan.

What happens after the free period?
You will not be charged during the 30-day free period. Afterwards, your subscription will continue with the plan you are using at that time, at the price shown in the window, unless you cancel before the free period ends.

Step 3 - Start building with Aida AI Website Builder

And that's it! You should now see a success message in your Control Panel dashboard saying that you've upgraded your plan. Aida AI Website Builder now has its own entry point in the menu on the left; click it to start building your dream website with Aida!
