FTP (File Transfer Protocol) allows you to manage and transfer files and folders to your web space. Unlike our recommended protocol SFTP, FTP is not secure and entails risks during data transfer.
This guide provides basic information on activating FTP, setting up an FTP password and connecting to your web space.
Tip: You can also use our one.com File Manager as an SFTP client to upload files to your web space securely.

Note: Make sure FTP access is enabled in your one.com Control Panel. If needed, follow the steps in the section Activate FTP for my web space first.
Use the following connection details, replacing yourdomain.com with your own domain:
- Host: ftp.yourdomain.com

- Port: 21
Forgot your password?
No worries! Just follow the steps in the section above Create or change your FTP password. -
Where should I place my files?
When you connect to FTP, you will arrive in your public folder, httpd.www. This folder, also known as the root folder, is accessible via a web browser and contains your website files.
