Why do I have an unpaid invoice after cancelling?
Automatic domain renewal keeps your domain active and your data protected. This guide covers how auto-renew works, key renewal timelines, and what to do if you think your domain was renewed by mistake.
How the automatic renewal works
We automatically renew your subscription 30 days before the renewal date*. That way, we can ensure that your domain gets renewed on time and all your data is safe.
You will always be notified in advance; we send the yearly renewal invoice 60 days before the renewal date. That way, you still have time to cancel your subscription if you don't want to keep it.
*Subscriptions for private customers who live in Italy and the Netherlands are not renewed automatically. Instead, these customers receive a yearly invitation to resubscribe with us.
