Follow this guide to set up your email account with IMAP in the New Outlook (2023) for Windows.

- Step 1 - Open Outlook and click the settings icon
- Step 2 - Click Add account
- Step 3 - Type in your email address
- Step 4 - Enter your password and server settings
- Step 5 - Click Continue to sync your account
- Step 6 - You are done!
If you are making changes to your account settings, are moving mails from one account to another, or especially if you have set up your account as a POP account, it's essential to make a backup of your email
This way, you make sure you don't lose any critical emails if something goes wrong. Every email client has its way of doing this, so please follow the instructions for the email client you're using.
Step 1 - Open Outlook and click the settings icon
Open Outlook on your computer and click the Settings icon in the top right corner.
Step 2 - Click Add account
Under Accounts, click Add account to start setup.
Note: If this it's your first time setting up mail in the New Outlook, you may need to complete additional steps such as sending optional data, applying settings etc.
Step 3 - Type in your email address
Type in the email address you want to add and click Continue.
Step 4 - Enter your password and server settings
- Type in your password; it is the password that you also use to log in to Webmail.
- Click the Show more button.
- Add the following IMAP settings:
IMAP incoming server: imap.one.com
Port: 993
Secure connection type: SSL / TLS (recommended)
SMTP username: the email address you're adding
SMTP Outgoing server: send.one.com
Port: 465
Secure connection type: SSL / TLS (recommended)
SMTP password: the password that you also use to log in to Webmail. - Click Continue.
Step 5 - Click Continue to sync your account
Click Continue to sync your IMAP account.
Note: When syncing the account, you might receive a notification indicating a new login from another country, as Microsoft performs this action to facilitate account synchronisation.
Step 6 - You are done!
Your account is now set up. Click Done and go to your inbox.
