How to change your Website Builder plan
You can change your Website Builder plan at any time. The process depends on the type of plan you have:
- Website Builder plan with hosting features: these plans are tailored for a Website Builder site, and include everything you need to publish a website and get online. They come in 4 different tiers depending on your needs.
- Website Builder as an add-on: classic hosting plans, where you can enable add-ons to get more features, including Website Builder. The Basic version is included.
First, check which type of plan you have so you know which procedure applies to you.

Before you start: Identify your Website Builder plan
Before changing your plan, make sure you know which type of Website Builder you have:
Website Builder hosting plan
- Log in to your one.com Control Panel.
- Look at the right-hand side of your dashboard. If you see a label such as “Website Builder Mini,” “Website Builder Business,” “Website Builder Pro,” or “Website Builder Ecommerce,” you’re on a Website Builder hosting plan.
Website Builder add-on
- If you don’t see a Website Builder plan label on your Control Panel dashboard, it’s likely because you have a Website Builder add-on attached to one of our hosting plans — Beginner, Explorer, Enthusiast or Guru.
Once you’ve identified your plan type, continue to the section that applies to your plan.

Change your Website Builder hosting plan
Use these steps to change your Website Builder hosting plan.
Step 1 - Go to Change plan in the Control Panel
- Log in to your one.com Control Panel.
- Click the Change plan button under the plan name on the right side.
Step 2 - Select your new Website Builder plan
- On the next page, you will see your current Website Builder plan and the other available options.
- Select the plan you want to switch to.
Step 3 - Confirm your choice
- Upgrade:
If you selected a more expensive plan, you first need to select a payment method and click Approve. Depending on your payment method, you need to enter your payment details to finalise the upgrade. - Downgrade:
If you selected a cheaper plan, click Downgrade to confirm your selection. If any adjustments are necessary before downgrading, you can find useful information under "Issues downgrading?" in this guide.

Change your Website Builder add-on
Follow these steps if you want to upgrade or downgrade your add-on.
Step 1 - Go to My products
- Log in to your one.com Control Panel.
- Go to My account in the top right corner, then My products in the menu that appears.
Step 2 - Go to See add-ons
- Locate the relevant domain.
- On the right side of the domain, go to Manage.
- Go to See add-ons in the menu.
Step 3 - Go to Change plan
Locate Website Builder and Online Shop, and then go to Change plan.
Step 4 - Change to another plan
Click Select on the plan that suits your needs.
Issues downgrading?
If you cannot downgrade your plan, your website uses one or more features that require a higher plan.
Common issues and how to fix them:

Too many pages
Delete pages in the Website Builder editor. See our guide on deleting pages. -
Too many email accounts
Remove extra accounts in the Control Panel. See our guide on deleting email accounts. -
Advanced features in use
Remove components such as Custom code, Blog, Advanced SEO, or Google Analytics in the Website Builder editor. Save and publish again. -
More than 100 products
Go to the Online Shop dashboard > Products > Product list. Tick the products you want to delete, then click Edit selected > Delete. -
Shop features enabled
Remove shop features in the Website Builder editor. Save and publish your website again.
Once that’s done, you can attempt to downgrade again.
Note: If you're unable to downgrade, it will be clearly stated what needs to be removed via your Website Builder in order to proceed.
