How do I connect my website to my Google Business Profile?

This article shows how to connect your Website Builder site to your Google Business Profile. You can create a new profile or connect your existing profile to your Website Builder site. When you connect your website to your Google Business Profile, your contact details and opening hours in Website Builder are automatically synced from your profile on Google. That way, when someone is looking for your business, you are sure they see the correct information.

Customers with Website Builder as an add-on: This feature is part of the Website Builder Business + E-commerce tier.

Customers on Website Builder plans with hosting features: This feature can be unlocked with the Business, Pro or Ecommerce plan.


Step 1 - Open the settings in your Website Builder

  1. Log in to the one.com Control Panel and open your Website Builder.
  2. Click the menu in the top right corner and select Settings.
  3. Select Business listing in the menu on the left.

Tip: You can also open the Business listing page from your Website Builder dashboard under Marketing & SEO > Business listing.


Step 2 - Create a profile (optional)

If your business is already listed on Google Business Profile, you can skip this step and continue with Step 3 - Connect your profile.

  1. Click the button Create a listing.
  2. Add your business information, such as company name, website URL and email address.
  3. Add categories that best reflect your business.
  4. Add your business contact information and opening hours.
  5. Confirm and click Next.

Step 3 - Connect your profile

If you already have a profile and skipped Step 2, click Connect your listing. Otherwise, start directly with the steps below.

  1. Sign in to your Google account.
  2. The next window will show you which information will be shared with one.com by connecting to Google. Click Allow.
  3. Confirm your choice by also clicking Allow in the following window.
  4. You can import the information to your Website Builder website if you already have a Google Business Profile.

Step 4 - Done!

You have successfully connected your Website Builder website with your Google Business Profile.

  1. Save changes to your website in Website Builder.
  2. Publish your website so that the synchronisation between your website and the Google Business Profile will be visible online.

Tip: If you want to disconnect your website from the Google Business Profile, you will find this option if you select Business listing in the settings in Website Builder.
