How to downgrade Domain Protection
If you no longer need Domain Protection, you can downgrade to Basic Domain Control at any time from your Control Panel.
Downgrading removes the additional security features included in Domain Protection. Your domain will continue to work normally, but some protections and tools will no longer be available.
Before you proceed, please note that Domain Lock and Guest users must be removed before downgrading Domain Protection.
Downgrading Domain Protection
- Log in to your one.com Control Panel.
- Go to My account, then My Products in the top-right corner.
- Find the domain you want to downgrade, then click Manage, followed by See add-ons.
- Find Domain Protection in the list of add-ons. Then click Change plan.
- Click Downgrade.
Deactivate Domain Lock
If Domain Lock is active, you need to deactivate it before downgrading to Basic Domain Control.
- Log in to your one.com Control Panel.
- Click on the Domain Lock tile.
- Scroll down, and click Deactivate.

Type your specific password for Domain Lock, and click Deactivate.
If you don't remember your password, press Cancel to go back to the previous page.
Via this page, you can reset your password via the I forgot my password button. - Done! You can now proceed with downgrading Domain Protection.
Remove Guest users
If you have Guest Users, you need to remove them before downgrading to Basic Domain Control.
- Log in to your one.com Control Panel.
- Scroll down to Advanced settings, then click Guest users.
- Click Delete on the right.
- Done! You can now proceed with downgrading Domain Protection.
