What is Aida AI Website Builder?
Aida AI Website Builder is our new next-generation tool for building websites. It combines the power and efficiency of AI with manual editing options, enabling you to create a personalized, beautifully designed website in just minutes.
All you have to do is tell the conversational AI assistant, Aida, what you want on your site, and it will help build it. You can then refine the result by asking Aida for further tweaks or use the manual editing tools - whichever you prefer. Go live with your new website in minutes instead of weeks!

How does it work?
Once you've started your trial or purchased an Aida AI Website Builder plan, you can log in and start building. The tool offers three different approaches to get you started:
- Start with an example Enter the business or project idea you want to build your site for, along with your business or project name and where it's located. Once you have that, you can start talking with Aida and build your site.
- Describe your idea: If you already have a clearer idea of what your site should look like and include, you can use the freeform option to write a prompt for Aida. The Aida AI Website Builder will then use your description to generate a customised website for you.
- Modernise my website: Do you already have a website which you want to bring up to date? No problem. Enter the name of your site in the Modernize function and our tool will update your website design without changing your images, videos and other content.
No matter how you choose to start building your site, you can always ask Aida to make further edits or use the manual options to tweak your customised website - before and after publication. It's completely up to you which method you want to use.

Who is it for?
Aida AI Website Builder is the ideal choice if you recognise yourself in some of these descriptions:
- New businesses that need a website quickly
- People with outdated websites who want a modern redesign
- Solopreneurs, freelancers, consultants, and local businesses
- People who want an all-in-one platform with hosting, email, bookings, or simple ecommerce
Presently, Aida is not suited for larger businesses that have existing websites with advanced customisation, complex workflows, or operate a platform with multiple websites.

Which plans include Aida AI Website Builder?
Aida AI Website Builder is included in three different hosting plans: Portfolio, Booking and Commerce. You can read more about them and see what's included in each plan in this guide: Aida AI Website Builder plans and feature overview.
Aida AI Website Builder can not be purchased as an add-on to any other plan.

How can I purchase a paid plan during my free trial?
Once you've started your trial, you'll get the option to purchase a plan and, if needed, connect a domain. You can read more about the process in this guide:
It's currently not possible to purchase an Aida AI Website Builder plan without starting a trial first. During the checkout process, you can choose to purchase a plan with or without a domain.

How can I switch to a different Aida AI Website Builder plan?
After purchasing a plan through your Aida AI Website Builder trial, you can manage it from your one.com Control Panel. If your needs change, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time by clicking Change plan in the top-right corner.
Select a plan from the overview page and complete the checkout process.

Is there a limit to the AI usage in the plans?
We don't have any strictly defined AI limits in place at the moment, but a fair use limit does apply. You will get a notification in Aida AI Website Builder once you reach around 80% of this usage and another once you hit the limit. The fair use limit will reset on a monthly basis. It is currently not possible to purchase a top-up for your allowed AI usage.

I already have a Website Builder plan - can I purchase Aida AI Website Builder with that?
No, unfortunately not. The Aida AI Website Builder is a different product from the classic Website Builder, and you will need an Aida AI Website Builder plan to use this solution instead.

How does the 30-day free period work?
If you upgrade an existing Domain Only or Email Essential subscription to an Aida AI Website Builder plan through your Control Panel, you'll receive a 30-day free period.
During this time, you can switch between the available Aida AI Website Builder plans to find the one that best suits your needs. Once the free period ends, you'll be charged based on the plan you have selected at that time.
Domains and publishing

I already have a domain - can I use that with Aida AI Website Builder?
It depends on your current setup. Below is a quick overview of the available options. For more detailed information, see our dedicated guide: How to get Aida AI Website Builder on an existing one.com domain.
- If your domain is registered with another provider, you can start a trial of Aida AI Website Builder and transfer your domain to one.com.
- If your domain is already registered with one.com, you have the following options:
- If you have a Domain Only or Email Essential subscription that uses our new hosting platform, you can upgrade it to an Aida AI Website Builder plan from your Control Panel and create a new website with Aida.
- If you already have an Aida AI Website Builder trial or a paid Aida AI Website Builder plan, it is not yet possible to connect your existing one.com domain to that website.
We're working on making this possible in the future, but we don't have a timeline to share yet.

Can I connect a domain after purchasing an Aida AI Website Builder plan?
Yes. If you purchased an Aida AI Website Builder plan without selecting a domain, you can connect one later.
To do so, log in to your one.com Control Panel and click the Connect a domain button or banner. You can then choose a domain and complete the checkout process.
Once the order is completed, the domain will automatically be connected to your Aida AI Website Builder site. Now you can publish your website.
It can take up to 20 minutes before your website becomes available on the newly connected domain. During this time, your website may not be accessible yet. This delay is expected and does not require any action on your part.

Why does my Aida site land on a "xxxx.website.one" subdomain, and how can I move it?
If you publish your Aida AI Website Builder site without connecting a domain, your website will automatically be published on a temporary one.com subdomain, for example, 78b5g5yj.website.one.
This allows you to preview and share your website while you decide which domain to use or if you're waiting to connect an existing one.com domain once this option becomes available.
After connecting a domain to your Aida AI Website Builder plan, you need to republish your website. Your website will then be available on your domain instead of the temporary website.one subdomain.
Building and managing your website

What if I don't like the website that Aida AI builds for me?
No problem at all. You can just ask Aida to start over and take it from there. That's one of the core strengths of the Aida AI Website Builder: You can easily make bigger updates and changes in no time.

Can I see how my Aida AI Website Builder site will look on mobile?
Yes! In the editor, you can automatically check how your site will look on different devices. Just click the device icon in the middle of the top bar of your screen and select if you want to see the site in Desktop, Tablet or Mobile view. The icon will change when you select the view, so you can always see which view you're currently in.

To which email address are my contact form and shop emails sent?
Once you purchase a domain and connect it to your Aida AI Website Builder plan, we will automatically create an email address on your account called info@yourdomain.com (the part after @ will be replaced with your domain name). All form submissions from your website and all shop-related emails will be sent to this email address.
You can access the email account via Webmail or manage it via the Email and Microsoft 365 tab in your Control Panel. You can also learn more about both in these guides:

Can I move my existing Website Builder site to Aida AI Website Builder?
At the moment, you cannot move an existing Website Builder site to Aida AI Website Builder. However, if you start your Aida AI Website Builder trial using the Modernise your website feature, you can have Aida generate an updated version of your current site - and then continue building it with Aida AI Website Builder.
Note that if you decide to use this solution, you'll have to purchase an Aida AI Website Builder plan and a new domain at the end of the trial.

What is the difference between Website Builder and Aida AI Website Builder?
Although our classic Website Builder includes some AI tools, they are not central to the building experience. The classic Website Builder was built around the drag-and-drop approach, where you could build your website from a panel of customisable components.
The Aida AI Website Builder, by contrast, is built around conversational AI - the core idea being that you and Aida, through conversation, work together to create and update your website.
This means you won't have to spend precious time figuring things out manually, and you don't need to familiarise yourself with various tools or components before you can start designing. Aida brings the technical skills; you bring the vision - just tell it what you want, and it will handle the rest.
