Have you gotten an email titled 'Action Required: Review Your Domain Data'?
Don’t worry - it’s legitimate. Tucows/Ascio helps us manage certain domain types (gTLDs), and this message concerns new ICANN rules. In most cases, no action is needed at all, but it’s good to double-check your domain details.
What you need to review
Check your domain's contact information in your one.com Control Panel. Especially the "Company" field.
If you are unsure how to navigate to the correct page, please follow the instructions in this guide.
What you need to do
Option 1:
If you want your domain to be listed as an individual owner, make sure the Company field is empty. If you need to change the domain's owner from a company to an individual, please follow our guide on how to change owner.
Option 2:
If you wish the organisation to remain the legal domain owner, ensure the Company field contains the correct legal owner. If you need to change the domain's owner, please follow our guide on how to change owner.
Note: If you can't log into your one.com Control Panel, please follow this guide:
How do I change my contact details if I cannot login?
Why is this important?
- Going forward, whatever is written in the Company field will be seen as the domain's legal owner.
- If you leave it blank, the individual listed will be the legal owner instead.
