Getting started with email

An email connected to your domain helps you look professional and stay organised. Whether you want to use email for work, personal use, or both, getting started is easy – and you can always expand your setup later.
This guide gives you a simple overview of what you can do with email and where to begin.

What can I use email for?

With email on your domain, you can:

  • Send and receive emails from a professional address (for example, name@yourdomain.com).
  • Create one or multiple email accounts.
  • Forward emails to another address.
  • Use email in your browser (Webmail) or in an email client like Outlook or Apple Mail.
  • Protect your inbox with spam filtering.

You decide how simple or advanced your email setup should be.

Manage your email accounts

You manage your email accounts in the one.com control panel. Click on the Email tile to open mail administration and create, edit and delete email accounts and aliases. Also, set up forwards, change your password, enable the spam filter and set up a catch-all address.

Use Webmail in your browser

Once your email account is created, you can use Webmail directly in your browser – no installation needed.
In Webmail, you can:

Use email in an email client

You can set up your email account in a client such as Outlook or Apple Mail with IMAP and SMTP protocols, allowing you to read and send emails outside Webmail.

Note: Settings related to your email account, such as passwords, forwarding, and spam filters, must be managed in the one.com Control Panel or Webmail.
