Has Mobile Sync been activated for your email account? Then you probably need to change the account settings on your mobile device or in clients like Outlook. Otherwise, you won't be able to use the additional features, like syncing of your calendar and contacts.
If you have previously set up your email account with IMAP, you need to change this to Mobile Sync.
- You first need to remove the IMAP account from your device or client.
- Next, you can set it up again with Mobile Sync.

Remove email accounts

Gmail app on Android:
- Tap the menu in the top left corner.
- Tap your name and email account.
- Tap "Manage Accounts".
- Tap "Personal (IMAP)".
- Tap the account that you want to remove.
- Tap the menu in the top right corner.
- Tap "Remove account".
- Confirm your action by tapping "Remove account" again.
Samsung email app on Android:
- Open the menu in the top left corner.
- Tap the gear icon at the top to open settings.
- Tap the account that you want to remove.
- Tap "Remove" in the top right corner.
iPhone iOS 11:
- Go to "Settings" for your iPhone, not the email app.
- Scroll down and tap "Accounts & Passwords".
- Tap the account you want to remove.
- Tap "Delete Account" all the way at the bottom.
- Tap "Delete from My iPhone" to confirm.
Outlook for mobile:
- Open the menu in the top left corner.
- Tap the gear icon at the bottom to open settings.
- Tap the account that you want to remove.
- Scroll all the way down and tap "Delete Account".
- Select if you want to delete the account only from this device, or all mobile devices.
- Tap "Delete".
Windows mail 10:
- Open "Settings", at the bottom of the menu on the left.
- Click "Manage accounts".
- Click on the account that you want to remove.
- Click "Delete account".
- Confirm your action by clicking "Delete".
Outlook 2016/13:
- Click "File" in the top left corner.
- Click "Account settings".
- Select the email account you want to remove.
- Click "Remove" in the menu above.
